CNG Natural Gas Hose
A CNG Natural Gas Hose is a flexible pipeline specifically designed for transporting compressed natural gas (CNG). Its core function is to safely transfer natural gas under high-pressure conditions. It is widely used in scenarios such as automobiles, gas filling stations, and industrial equipment, and serves as a key connecting component in CNG systems.
I. Core Characteristics and Design Requirements
High-Pressure Resistance
It must withstand the high-pressure nature of CNG (with a normal working pressure of 20-25MPa). The pipe material must have high strength and burst resistance, and a multi-layer structure is usually adopted to enhance pressure resistance.
Corrosion Resistance and Aging Resistance
The inner layer must be resistant to trace impurities (such as hydrogen sulfide) that may be present in natural gas. The outer layer must be UV-resistant and able to withstand high and low temperatures (generally applicable from -40℃ to 80℃) to prevent cracking or aging after long-term use.
Sealing and Safety
The joints must be strictly sealed to prevent gas leakage. Some hoses are also equipped with a conductive layer to eliminate the risk of static accumulation and avoid safety accidents caused by static electricity.
II. Common Structural Composition
- Inner Layer: Made of oil-resistant and gas-resistant rubber or plastic (such as nitrile rubber, fluororubber). It is in direct contact with natural gas to ensure medium compatibility.
- Reinforcement Layer: Uses high-strength fibers (such as aramid fibers) or metal braided layers (such as steel wire braids) to improve the pressure resistance and tensile performance of the hose.
- Outer Layer: Mostly made of wear-resistant and aging-resistant rubber or PVC materials. It protects the internal structure from external friction, impact, or environmental erosion.

Main Application Scenarios
- CNG Vehicles: Connects the on-board gas cylinder to the engine and serves as a key pipeline for natural gas transportation. It must comply with automotive industry safety standards (such as ISO 14230).
- Gas Filling Station Equipment: Used for temporary or fixed connection between the gas filling gun and the gas storage cylinder group. It must have durability under high-frequency use.
- Industrial and Commercial Equipment: For example, it is used for gas transportation in natural gas generators and industrial combustion equipment. It must be adapted to the working pressure and environmental requirements of the equipment.
